Vtiger CRM
We extend Vtiger around the way your team actually works — customizing CRM behaviour, automating workflows, connecting external systems and building functionality that standard configuration does not provide.
Engineering software and automation solutions since 2012.
Extend Vtiger Beyond Standard Configuration
The Problem
These are the points where a Vtiger installation stops matching the business:
Vtiger Capabilities
Adapt Vtiger modules, fields and record structures around the actual business process.
Automate CRM-driven actions, notifications, record handling and repetitive operational steps.
Changes directly to the CRM user experience — buttons, focused interfaces and actions users work with inside their process.
Connect Vtiger with external applications, databases and backend services through supported integration interfaces.
Integrate browser-based calling and telephony workflows with CRM context where appropriate.
Build focused web interfaces, portals or supporting applications around CRM workflows when the requirement does not belong cleanly inside standard Vtiger configuration.
Engineering Approach
We use these principles to decide where customization should live and how it should interact with the rest of the system.
01
Map the records, decisions, user actions and exceptions before changing CRM behaviour.
02
Keep custom UI behaviour, CRM logic and external-system integration separated where practical.
03
Use Vtiger extension points and APIs where available instead of brittle page-level modifications.
04
Keep custom interface, workflow and integration behaviour separated where practical so changes in one area are less likely to affect unrelated functionality.
Real Work
Vtiger · JsSIP · React
ChallengeCRM users needed browser-based calling available as part of their Vtiger working process rather than relying on a separate phone workflow.
SolutionBuilt a browser-based calling interface using React and JsSIP for users working with Vtiger. The implementation included SIP user-agent registration, incoming and outgoing call handling, connection handling and fallback handling for network/STUN configuration.
OutcomeAllowed users to handle browser-based calling as part of their Vtiger working process rather than relying entirely on a separate calling interface.
Telephony Architecture
The calling example above, drawn as a flow.
User works with the Vtiger CRM workflow while the browser-based call interface provides calling controls.
Runs in the browser:
The telephony service the browser registers with and that carries the call.
Call events and status return from the SIP/PBX service to the call interface. This example does not include writing call records back into Vtiger.
The Engineering Decision
Use native Vtiger configuration when the requirement fits the platform cleanly.
Example: Adding fields, adjusting layouts or configuring an existing workflow where native features are sufficient.
Add focused Vtiger behaviour when the CRM remains the right place for the workflow but standard functionality is insufficient.
Example: A custom action or user interface around a Vtiger record.
Use a backend, integration layer or supporting application when the process crosses CRM boundaries.
Example: Connecting Vtiger to another system or placing privileged/external-system logic outside the CRM interface.

Is This You?
CRM records are only one part of a wider business process.
The requirement cannot be solved cleanly with configuration alone.
Custom UI, workflow and integration logic have become difficult to reason about together.
Calling or PBX interaction needs to work alongside the user’s Vtiger workflow.
It is unclear whether a requirement should be configured, implemented as a Vtiger extension or built in an external service.

FAQ
Yes. Existing modules, workflows, code and integrations can be reviewed before new changes are introduced, so new work is designed around what is already in place.
In many cases, yes. Feasibility depends on the installed implementation and the extension mechanisms available in it. Where customization already exists, it should be reviewed before further changes are introduced.
Yes, where suitable interfaces exist. Integration can use APIs, backend services and, where appropriate, database or other integration interfaces. External-system logic is best kept separate from the CRM user interface.
Yes, depending on the PBX/SIP environment and the required CRM interaction. Isleen has implemented browser-based SIP calling using JsSIP for users working with Vtiger.
If native Vtiger features handle the requirement cleanly, configure it. If users need CRM-specific behaviour, extend the CRM through appropriate customization. If the requirement crosses systems or involves external or privileged processing, an integration or backend layer may be more appropriate.
